There’s a near full round of Premier League games on, so as usual we’ve gone ahead and previewed three for you which can be read right here.

Looking around the rest of the big five leagues, it’s a big weekend in a couple of them with games that could sway the title on offer.

Borussia Dortmund vs RB Leipzig

Bundesliga – Borussia Dortmund vs RB Leipzig on Saturday at 2.30pm

Two teams who have played their part in the ongoing managerial merry-go-round in the Bundesliga meet on Saturday as 5th placed Dortmund welcome 2nd placed Leipzig to the Westfalenstadion as they try to continue their good run of form and secure a top four finish. With four wins in a row, BVB are the form team in Germany and they have found this form at the ideal time to close the gap on Eintracht Frankfurt and Wolfsburg who have both stumbled of late.

Leipzig are comfortable in 2nd place, nine points clear of Dortmund it would take a complete catastrophe for them to fail to finish in the top four. With Julian Nagelsmann leaving this summer to take charge of Bayern Munich, Leipzig have stayed within the Red Bull family to find his successor by choosing Jesse Marsch of Red Bull Leipzig. Marsch will take over a quality team but one likely to lose at least three important players in Dayot Upamecano, Ibrahima Konate and Marcel Sabitzer.

This game promises to be a fun one, especially with Erling Haaland seemingly on a one man mission to get Dortmund into next season’s Champions League.

Serie A – Sassuolo vs Atalanta on Sunday at 2.00pm

This may not be the most glamorous contest around Europe this weekend but it might be the most entertaining as the two most attack minded sides in Serie A come head to head. Sassuolo sit 8th in the table but are only three points behind Roma and with the capital side in a terrible run of form, there could be an opportunity for I Neroverdi to snatch a spot in the Europa Conference League for next season. With players like Berardi, Locatelli, Traore and Boga all drawing admiring glances from bigger clubs, Sassuolo will need to have European football if they are to convince their stars to stay.

Atalanta have been on a bit of a tear recently and they have capitalized on the uneven form of Juventus, Milan, and Lazio to move to second in the table behind only runaway leaders Inter Milan. Playing their trademark brand of swashbuckling football, they have overcome their captain Papu Gomez falling out with manager Gian Piero Gasperini and departing the club for pastures new to play some incredible football. Driven by the goals of Duvan Zapata and Luis Muriel, and powered by one of the deepest collections of creative midfielders anywhere in Europe La Dea rarely turn in a dull performance. With a defence which has improved since the arrival of Cristian Romero, Atalanta are a more complete team than ever before and will provide stiff competition for Europe’s elite once again in next seasons Champions League.

Ligue 1 – Monaco vs Lyon on Sunday at 8.00pm

Third placed Monaco, only two points behind Lille who top the table, welcome 4th placed Lyon to the south coast in a game with Ligue 1 title implications. Niko Kovac’s men might be outsiders in the race for the crown, but in the race they very much are. With Wissam Ben Yedder and Kevin Volland providing the goals, and Auerlien Tchouameni a one man ball winning mob in midfield the 2016/17 Champions have bounced back from two very disappointing seasons to reestablish themselves as one of the best teams in France.

Lyon’s defeat to Lille last weekend cost them their chance at the title, and has given them a mountain to climb to secure Champions League football for next season. With only three teams qualifying for Europe’s top competition Les Gones may end up as the odd team out as they sit four points behind this weekend’s opponents. They simply can’t afford to lose this game because it could well mean them having to have a fire-sale of their best players. With Memphis Depay set to leave on a Bosman, they could also lose at least one and possibly more of Lucas Paqueta, Houssem Aouar, Bruno Guimaraes and Maxence Caqueret.

A Monaco win will see them stay in title contention, a Lyon win will see them stay in Champions League contention. It should be a cracker.

La Liga – Sevilla vs Athletic Bilbao on Monday at 8.00pm

Sevilla sit just three points off the top despite being in 4th placed in the La Liga table. With five games to go, the title race is wide open and they are in with the best chance they have had at winning the title in decades. Seven wins and a draw from their last eight games, while both Madrid teams and Barcelona have endured stumbles, has seen them close the gap on the Big 3 and with a massive game away to Real Madrid next weekend they really have put themselves in a good position, especially given Atletico and Barca still have to face each other. With Youssef En-Nesyri and Lucas Ocampos in great form upfront, Suso and Papu Gomez offering creativity and the hard work of players like Fernando, Ivan Rakitic and Joan Jordan prevalent in midfield, Sevilla have fantastic balance to their team.

Athletic Club don’t have much to play for, their form is terrible right now and they have suffered the pain of losing two cup finals in the last month. They do have some very talented players, like Unai Simon in goal, Unai Nunez in defense and long time servants Iker Muniain and Inaki Williams up front but this is a team in need of some rebuilding.

The main reasons to watch this game is to see Sevilla’s continued quest for a first league title since 1946 and because your alternative is watching Burnley.

It’s the Portuguese Grand Prix this weekend, the third race of the 2021 season and it already looks like being a more competitive Championship than those of the past few years. Max Verstappen and Red Bull appear to have upped their game and may well be able to push Lewis Hamilton and Mercedes this season. It’s not all good news for F1 fans though as the Canadian and Chinese Grand Prix events have been cancelled due to the Covid-19 situations in those countries, and others are likely to fall by the wayside but Portugal is good to go and if Verstappen can repeat his brilliant drive at the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix it might just set us up for an exciting season.

Reyes vs Prochazka

After the enormous event of last weekend it’s back to a more run of the mill card for the UFC with Reyes vs Prochazka on ESPN.

The headline fight, a Light-Heavyweight contest, pits former title challenger Dominick Reyes looking to end a two fight losing streak against the dangerous Jiri Prochazka who has won 11 straight fights and holds a win over Bellator 205lb Champion Vadim Nemkov.

Reyes had a perfect 12-0 record before his fight with Jon Jones, a fight he lost by decision before getting TKO’d in his last contest against Jan Blachowicz for the then vacant Light-Heavyweight title. With elite striking ability, top level movement and good range, Reyes is still one of the top fighters in the weightclass but will need to get back on track soon to avoid slipping back into the mid-tier of the division.

Prochazka has won 10 of his 11 wins by KO, including his last nine in a row. In his first UFC fight he defeated the dangerous Volkan Oezdemir with a devastating 2nd round KO. Prochazka takes a lot of risks in fights, carrying his lands low and that could leave him open to a head-kick, which is one of the specialties of Reyes. A win here for the 28 year old Czech would vault him right into title contention though, especially if he does it in the same manner in which he won his first UFC fight.

Derek Chisora Parker IPTV VPN

There are two big Boxing cards taking place on either side of the ocean this weekend, with Heavyweight fights headlining both.

In the UK Derek Chisora faces former WBO Champion Joseph Parker. Chisora, 32-10, known for his volatile temper and all action style, comes into the fight off the back of a comprehensive points defeat to Oleksandr Usyk. If he ever wants to fulfill his dream of becoming a World Champion he will need to beat Parker in convincing fashion this weekend. Parker has won his last four fights in a row after suffering the first two defeats of his career to Anthony Joshua and Dillian Whyte, two men who have triumphed over Chisora, and will also want to get himself back into the world title mix. A win here for Parker could set up a rematch with Whyte.

Also on the card is a Light-Heavyweight title fight between defending WBA Champion Dmitry Bivol and Britain’s Craig Richards. The fight represents a massive step-up in quality of opposition for Richards and he will be a huge underdog against the unbeaten Russian who many rate as the best fighter in the division.

Chris Eubank Jr makes his return to the ring after an 18 month absence to take on fellow Brit Marcus Morrison in what many view as a tune-up fight before he challenges for a major title later this year.

Rounding out the card is a women’s Lightweight contest between undefeated, undisputed Champion Katie Taylor and Natasha Jonas. You can read more about what this fight means for Taylor by clicking this handy link.

Later in the night, in Carson City, California former World Champion Andy Ruiz makes his long awaited return to the ring after an 18 month hiatus following his defeat to Anthony Joshua, against the hard hitting Chris Arreola. Ruiz, sporting a new slimmed down look, appeared relaxed and excited at the recent press conferences and spoke of his ambition to once again hold the World titles he took from Joshua in their first fight. A comprehensive win over Arreola would go a long way towards getting him back in the mix.

On the undercard for that fight is a WBA Middleweight title fight between Light-Middleweight Champion Erislandy Lara, stepping up in weight, and Thomas LaManda. While LaManda might look more like a school teacher than a fighter, he is a powerful puncher with a record of 30-4 who can not be overlooked.

We’re at the semi-final stage of the 2021 World Snooker Championship and it has been a fantastic tournament so far, filled with drama, upsets and an incredibly high level of Snooker.

Mark Selby and Stuart Bingham are contesting semi-final 1, a best of 33 frames contest. The standard has been incredible so far with Selby holding a 9-7 lead after the first session. Selby is now the heavy betting favourite to win the entire competition but Bingham, the 2015 World Champion, is used to being the underdog and enjoys nothing more than upsetting the applecart.

In semi-final 2 Kyren Wilson, who knocked out number 3 seed Neil Robertson, is taking on 2005 World Champion Shaun Murphy who defeated Judd Trump in the quarter finals. Wilson holds a 10-6 lead after the first session but Murphy’s pedigree in the competition, he’s also a two-time runner-up, will keep Wilson alert knowing that he can’t afford any slip-ups.
